How It All Started
True Worshippers Kingdom Ministries was born out of brokenness, yet built on God’s faithfulness. Before this ministry was established, there were seasons of assignment in other places— seasons filled with both growth and painful lessons. What many call church hurt became part of our story, shaping our hearts in ways we never expected.
Yet, we hold to the truth that when one door closes, God opens another. When one assignment comes to an end, He faithfully ushers us into a new one. What seemed like an ending was actually a new beginning. Out of the ashes of disappointment and pain, God birthed True Worshippers Kingdom Ministries with a fresh mandate.
This new assignment is clear: to reach beyond the four walls of the church, to minister to the unchurched, and to extend compassion and restoration. We are called to be a safe refuge for the hurting, a place of healing for the broken, and a community where authentic worship flows freely.
At the heart of our ministry is John 4:23–24: “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” This scripture is not just our foundation— it is our identity.
True Worshippers Kingdom Ministries exists as a testimony that God can take pain and transform it into purpose, turn trials into triumphs, and use even the wounds of yesterday to usher in the healing of today.

Meet The Huffmans
Pastor Lea and Minister Larry Huffman are the founding leaders of True Worshippers Kingdom Ministries. Their love story spans 40 years, beginning in high school in Roosevelt, Long Island, and divinely reconnecting decades later. Married on November 11, 2023, they now serve together as a powerful team, called to lead a gathering devoted to worship, discipleship, and outreach. Together, they guide the ministry with a vision rooted in John 4:23–24, reaching the unchurched, equipping believers, and exalting God in spirit and truth. Their blended family is a testament to God’s grace, including children and grandchildren whom they deeply cherish.
OUR LEADERSHIP TEAM
Born in Brooklyn, New York, to his loving parents, Harry and Eartha Huffman, Minister Larry is one of four siblings, though he carries the memory of one brother who tragically passed away in a car accident at just twenty years old. His brother Darold and sister Ren remain a cherished part of his life. During his childhood, Larry’s family moved to Long Island, New York, where he grew up and spent most of his formative years. After graduating from Roosevelt Junior-Senior High School, he chose to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. Larry proudly served for six years, a season that instilled in him discipline, perseverance, and a deep commitment to service. Following his time in the Marines, Larry became a firefighter with the Roosevelt Fire Department in Long Island. He later transitioned into a career in loss prevention. Eventually, he relocated to San Antonio, Texas, where his life entered a new chapter. In 2005, Larry answered the call to ministry. He was ordained as a deacon and, just two years later, became chairman of the deacon board. As his calling grew deeper, he was later ordained as a minister of the Gospel. Larry is the proud father of three sons and one daughter, and a loving grandfather to his granddaughter, Nicci. On November 11, 2023, he was blessed to marry the love of his life, Lea. Through this union, his family has expanded, and he is now also blessed with two bonus daughters and two bonus grandsons. Larry is deeply grateful to God for his journey, and every blessing that has shaped him into the man he is today.
Dr. Lea Philippe-Huffman is the first of seven children born to Lucien and Bernadette Philippe. She is the proud mother of two beautiful adult daughters, Jeneva Lea and Savannah Lea, and the joyful grandmother of Gabriel Lee and Lennox Lamar, whom she calls the loves of her life. Lea is best known for her warmth and genuine love for people. An ordained minister, psalmist, worship leader, and teacher, she has devoted her life to ministry and outreach. With a passion for missions, she is also an ordained missionary who has vowed to GO wherever God calls her. In 1996, God gave Lea a vision to empower young girls and women. Two years later, she launched Daughters of Zion Outreach in Queens, New York. Since then, she has ministered to women of all ages, making a difference one daughter at a time. Although her own life has been marked by disappointment, pain, and hurt, Lea’s testimony stands as a beacon of hope. She remains confident that she is blessed to be a blessing. Her ministry experience spans local, national, and international platforms. She has traveled to Nigeria and Kenya, where she spent two months serving orphans, widows, and AIDS victims, as well as completing four mission tours in her native country, Haiti. Wherever she goes, her God-kind, unconditional love continues to impact lives. Lea thrives on the truth that God is her passion, and that serving people is an opportunity to expand His kingdom. Her mission is simple yet powerful: to present Christ to everyone she meets, even if only through a smile, always pointing them to Jesus, the ultimate answer. Over the years, she has faithfully served alongside pastors in New York, Georgia, and Florida, gaining invaluable experience that prepared her for such a time as this. On April 10, 2021, Lea was called to pastor ALIVE Christian Center in Marietta, Georgia, and on August 7, 2021, she was ordained and installed as Lead Pastor. In June 2022, she was awarded a Doctor of Divinity degree from EMET Global Theological Seminary and College for her lifelong commitment to ministry. She is also a recipient of The President’s Lifetime Achievement Award. On November 11, 2023, she married Minister Larry Huffman, gaining bonus children and expanding her family with joy. In June 2025, Dr. Lea transitioned from her role as Pastor of ALIVE Christian Center into her new God given assignment: Co-Founder of True Worshippers Kingdom Ministries, an outreach-driven ministry committed to being the hands and feet of Jesus. Deeply devoted to sharing Christ in all she does, Dr. Lea embodies the truth that God’s love transforms lives. She continues to walk out her mission faithfully: to bless others and point every soul she encounters to Jesus… one soul at a time. “You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you.” John 15:16
